CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
You don’t have to separate your faith from your healing.
Faith can shape the way we understand our pain, relationships, identity, purpose, and hope. Christian counseling provides a space where you can bring your whole self into therapy—including your relationship with God.

Faith can be part of your healing.
For many people, faith is deeply connected to how they understand their struggles, relationships, identity, and hope for the future. I offer a space where your Christian faith can be thoughtfully integrated into counseling without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you need to leave an important part of yourself outside the therapy room.
When it feels meaningful to you, counseling may include Scripture, prayer, biblical principles, spiritual reflection, and conversations about faith alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
My goal is not to tell you what you should believe, but to create space for your faith to be part of the healing process.
Making room for the guidance of the Holy Spirit
My faith in Christ is central to who I am and the way I care for people. I believe there can be value in making room for the guidance of the Holy Spirit within the counseling process through prayer, discernment, reflection, and a willingness to listen.
At the same time, I respect where each person is in their own faith journey. Faith integration is never forced. We can incorporate as much or as little spiritual discussion as feels comfortable and meaningful to you.
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
What Christian counseling may include

Prayer
Prayer can be incorporated into sessions when desired and appropriate.

Scripture
Biblical passages may be explored as a source of encouragement, reflection, wisdom, and hope.

Identity & Purpose
Explore questions about identity, calling, purpose, worth, and what it means to live in alignment with your faith.

Faith During Difficult Seasons
Process grief, trauma, doubt, anger, disappointment, or questions about God that may arise during painful experiences.

Relationships & Forgiveness
Explore boundaries, forgiveness, reconciliation, marriage, family relationships, and healthy ways of loving others.

Clinical Therapy
Faith integration can be combined with trauma-informed care, CBT, Brainspotting, client-centered therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
Sometimes our hardest experiences affect our faith, too.
Trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and major life changes can sometimes leave us wrestling with questions we never expected to ask. Where is God in this? Why did this happen? Does my faith mean I shouldn’t feel this way?
Counseling can provide a safe place to explore those questions honestly. You do not have to pretend everything is okay, and struggling emotionally does not mean you have failed spiritually.

There is room for faith, questions, grief, hope, and healing to exist together.

Grace, truth, connection, and clinical care
My goal is to create a counseling relationship where you feel seen, understood, respected, and safe enough to be honest. I strive to follow Christ’s example in the way I listen, show compassion, extend grace, and care for the people I serve.
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand your story, personality, faith, experiences, and goals so that counseling can be adapted to you.
I meet you where you are, walk alongside you with grace and compassion, and help you move toward healing, hope, and the person God is calling you to become.
Counseling & Faith FAQ
Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
No. Clients of different backgrounds are welcome. Faith integration is based on your preferences and goals.
Will you pray with me during counseling?
Prayer can be incorporated when requested and when it feels appropriate to the counseling process.
Do you use the Bible in therapy?
Scripture can be incorporated when it is meaningful to you, but it is not forced into every session.
Is Christian counseling different from regular therapy?
Christian counseling can integrate faith and biblical values while still using professional counseling approaches and evidence-based therapeutic methods.
Can we talk about doubts or struggles with God?
Yes. Counseling can be a safe place to honestly explore doubt, anger, disappointment, spiritual confusion, and questions about faith.
You don’t have to walk this season alone.
If you’re looking for counseling where your faith can be respected and incorporated into the healing process, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
